Up until now, I've been blogging on what so ever I feel like writing. Turns out it's not a healthy habit for blogging. As I previously explained how following a niche helps your blog it also inversely affects it if a niche is not being followed. So I plan to fix that and by posting more content on a certain topic and let the define the niche of my blog. I did my research and found that people(other bloggers) tend to interact more with posts that are SEO or blogging based. The reason is obvious to get better backlinks and traffic of the same niche. I plan to do it by doing little research on similar web pages and mostly throw KWFinder. For those who don't know, KWfinder is an easy way for researching keywords you can target for better search result placement. KWfinder gives free five searches for a day. Also, you can do keyword research using Google Adwords.

Considering the different topics I write about on my blog, it is hard to say what niche my blog will fall in. But needless to say, I have noted that Search Engine Optimization or SEO related content generate significantly more traffic than other content on my blog. How did I come to that conclusion? I recently wrote a blog post on how not following a particular niche affects a blog's performance . Which to my surprise was getting as much as double the number of visitors compared to other blog posts published before and after that post. Not only this, the most popular blog post on this blog is also related to SEO. When it comes to writing blogs, Search Engine Optimisation is something not everyone focuses on. Many times we would come across blogs that have good content yet don't rank well in searches. Why? The reason behind is simple, Search Engines crawlers don't think your content is good enough to be ranked higher. So how does that work? In order to rank well in the searches, you need to make quality content and focus on your niche. It is never a good idea to spread your hands in all directions. Doing so in blogging and writing content on anything you find can backlash as well.
